Sicilian Pesto Pasta may be the easiest and most delicious homemade pasta recipe in your arsenal. I know we are all familiar with classic green pesto, but have you ever heard of SICILIAN PESTO? Delicious, seeing is believing!
- 2 l of Water
- 40 g of Onions
- 40 g of Carrots
- 40 g of Celery
- 320 g of Sicilian Pesto of Santoro
- 200 g of Cooking cream
- 200 g of Penne
- 20 g of Parmesan
- EVO Oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Brown the onions, carrots and celery finely chopped and add the mix in a casserole with some extra virgin olive oil and fry for 2 minutes.
Add 1/2 cup of boiled water and 320 g of Sicilian Pesto.
Maintain heat, stirring the ingredients together until combined.
After 10 minutes, bring abundant water to a boil, and cook the pasta according to the instructions in the package.
Drain the pasta very well and put it to mix into the pan, add the cooking cream, the parmesan, salt and pepper to taste and then pour your portion into a serving dish.
Now, you just have to enjoy your delicious pasta!
