Puglia- Città di Alberobello e i suoi “trulli”(Alberobello town with its typical “trulli”)

Region of Southern Italy, with capital city Bari, the easternmost region of Italy, Puglia borders the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea to the south and north, and with its 800 kilometers of coastline, is one of the Italian regions with greater coastal development. Area rich in greenery, the centre of the region is mostly flat and hilly, without clear contrasts between its territories, Puglia is the least mountainous region of Italy. The Economy, thanks to the tourism development, to the exportation of local products, and to the increasing investments in aerospace and automotive sectors, has allowed Puglia to have the best growth trend of southern Italy during the last few years. In the cuisine, very used the seasonal vegetables, starting with the extra-famous broccoli rabe ( rapini ) and broccoflower recipes, that if we add to the "orecchiette" Pasta, we can give rise to the dish that could be defined the symbol of this region; but exceptional preparations are done also with cardoon, peppers, aubergines, artichokes, and all legumes, from beans to lentils, grass peas and fava bean, as well as with the abundant seafood products, from the Adriatic sea. Among the cheeses, Burrata, Caciocavallo, and Scamorza are the best. Very famous the wines, as Nero di Troia, Moscato di Trani, just to name a few. The industrial production of oil is important and plentiful. From the fresh tomato of Puglia fields, comes almost the entire production of Italian peeled tomatoes in cans, one of the most exported Italian products in the world.
